The Memorandum of Understanding of the Rare Isotope Spectroscopy
INvestiagtions at GSI (RISING) project ended on August 31st, 2009.
The successful running and fruitful collaboration requires a proper
final, and therefore we will both remember the achievements of the
past and look into the FAIR future on October 5th, 2009, which is
acclaimed our RISING Celebration Day.
Note that the meeting will take place in the 'Altes Hauptgebäude',
Room S103/226 at TU Darmstadt due to renovation work at GSI.
Starting September 1st, 2009, the GSI spectroscopy community is organized within the PreSPEC project. PreSPEC is envisaged to pave our way towards HISPEC/DESPEC at FAIR. At the same time, the HISPEC/DESPEC meeting will take place on the 6th and the 7th of October. The new situation related to FAIR, as well as progress in HISPEC/DESPEC/PreSPEC istrumentation will be discussed. This is going to happen in the 'Lichtenberg-Haus', which is the Guest House of TU Darmstadt. In the afternoon on Tuesday, October 6th, a hand over from the RISING Steering Committee to the PreSPEC Steering Committee is planned (closed meeting).
